OUR MISSION
Every school deserves a safety strategy that actually works.
The Center for Behavior-Based School Safety™ was established to give schools and communities a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to campus safety — one that goes beyond metal detectors and lockdown drills.
We believe that safety is built through relationships, preparation, and a deep understanding of how violence develops. Our team works alongside school officials, administrators, and community stakeholders to identify risk, build resilience, and create environments where students and staff can thrive.
When a school is truly safe, it's not because nothing bad has happened. It's because the right systems, training, and culture are in place to stop it before it does.
Assess
On-site premise and policy reviews that identify vulnerabilities before they become incidents. We look at physical environment, emergency procedures, staff preparedness, and community risk factors.
Plan
Comprehensive crisis response and critical incident planning tailored to your school's specific context — so your staff knows exactly what to do when it matters most.
Train
Best-practice training for educators, administrators, and community leaders. We build capacity at every level so safety isn't dependent on any one person or policy.
